A group of wannabe gangsters regularly gather to take in the latest American action blockbuster, going so far as to adopt the names of their big screen heroes: Van Damme, Bruce Lee, and Nikita. But when a cinephile filmmaker returns to his homeland and tries to petition the local government to center African cinema over Hollywood, he must contend with the gang of youths and defend the native work at all costs.
