Cinematic Century

To mark 10 years of FilmScene, we present Cinematic Century: Milestones From 100 Years of Film, a celebration of the movies, looking back at works that left lasting artistic marks and stand out as emblematic of their eras. This 10-week series starts squarely in the over the top excess of the silent era with 1923 and ends in 2013 with a film remembered fondly by our earliest supporters. 10 films for 10 years and each film from each decade carries with it the joy and heartache of their moment in time and place.
