FilmScene 101: Cinema Summer School

About the Series

Curated in collaboration with University of Iowa Cinema Arts graduate students, this special iteration of FilmScene 101 examines three very different films, each of which serve as iconic and interesting objects for film study and theorization as our instructors will share with you during a post screening discussion. These self-contained discussions will dive deeper into topics of music, history, genre, memory, camp, romance, queer aesthetics, and more. So come to one or all to learn a little bit more about these classic films and discuss with your fellow cinephiles.
