In the latest film from China’s indie animation auteur Yang Zhigang, known as Busifan, a fantastical adventure is crafted from the ink-washed landscapes and powerful waters of ancient Chinese art. Young Bun lives on the streets with his surrogate father, Grain, who rescued him as an orphan. The two are soon swept up in a search for a legendary textile, but danger is around every corner. After Grain falls under a mysterious spell, Bun must evade monsters, warriors, and natural forces, on a rescue mission to save his devoted guardian.
