"Nobody ever placed brilliance in the service of silliness quite the way the Python gang did."—Jay Carr, Boston Globe

"It is an odd melange of satire on everything from epics to masochistic monks and just plain craziness."—Desmond Ryan, Philadelphia Inquirer

"Its youthful exuberance and rousing zaniness are hard not to like. As a matter of fact, the sense of fun is dangerously contagious."—Charles Champlin, Los Angeles Times

A hilarious and brilliantly clever send-up of the grim Middle Ages as told through the story of King Arthur, framed by a modern-day murder investigation. When the mythical king of the Britons leads his knights on a quest for the Holy Grail, they face a wide array of horrors including a three-headed giant, a cadre of shrubbery-challenged knights, the perilous Castle Anthrax, a killer rabbit, a house of virgins, and a handful of rude Frenchmen.
